1. I am not sure about giving my credit card details on the internet. How secure is it?
A. On our Ink Sales Plus site - Very … as safe as the banking system is. Using your credit card to purchase your printer cartridges or refill kits on-line with us is the same as going to any ATM, retail store or restaurant and using your card … but actually safer. We do not ever see your credit card numbers or keep any record of them. When you purchase on-line from our site, your card details are sent electronically via the bank-approved Camtech e-commerce provider DirectOne to be verified by our bank and cannot be intercepted. We are then only advised that the transaction is approved.

Of course, if you still are not convinced, you can buy by phone on (03) 9733 1870 or use Mail Order. For Mail order, just "Go Shopping", select the products you want, at the "Check-out" log in and register as if buying on-line, and select "Mail Order Form" print and mail us the form or alternatively, phone through your credit card details. For your safety, we do not encourage faxed orders as faxes can go astray and your credit card details are then seen by strangers.

2. Can I fax you an order? I can't find your fax number.
A. In a word … NO! This is purely for your protection and security. If you faxed an order, we require payment (to despatch your goods) so you either need to send us a cheque or include your credit card numbers anyway. We do NOT want you to fax us your credit card details - faxes can be mis-sent or go astray and someone else would then have your personal details AND Credit Card numbers !

3. Will using compatible cartridges or refilling my own cartridges void my printer warranty?
A. The short answer is No. Contrary to claims made by the manufacturers of inkjet printers, using our quality alternatives will NOT void the warranty, in fact, according to the Australian Trade Practices Act, it is illegal for a manufacturer to require a consumer to use a particular brand of ink. Basically the warranty applies only to the printer and has nothing to do with the disposable cartridge. The process of refilling your own cartridges WILL NOT void your printers warranty unless you do something incredibly silly and your cartridge leaks over everything and shorts something out - which won't happen as long as you follow the instructions.
We know of only one or two people who delayed refilling until their printer was out of warranty (they did not have EPSONs and so couldn't buy our compatible cartridges). For the really nervous types, one cartridge refilling business we heard of suggests that, in the unlikely case that the worst did happen, bite the bullet and put genuine cartridges back in your printer prior to returning it under warranty.

4. I have been told that I should only use genuine cartridges in my printer, is that true?
A. Absolutely Not. You are obviously concerned about print quality and the incredibly high cost of genuine cartridges - and so you should be. The "use only genuine cartridges" and the bluff of voiding warranty is a myth perpetuated by the printer manufacturers and their retailers because it is such an enormous profit-generating business. The print quality of our compatibles and refills is as good as the original, you can't tell the difference.
The situation with genuine cartridges is similar to mobile phone deals - you get a free mobile (worth often hundreds of dollars) if you sign up for a two year contract - which more than pays for the "free" phone. Imagine how it would be if car manufacturers had their own service stations. You would buy the latest family car for say $2,000 but the petrol tank could only be filled from their petrol pumps … at say $5 per litre!. A new customer told me that his HP printer was now on special for LESS than the price of a pair of genuine cartridges so it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than replace the two cartridges!

5. Are "alternative" or compatible cartridges, refill kits and bulk inks really as good as the genuine ones?
A. YES, OUR ONES certainly are! Ink Sales Plus investigated suppliers around the world (and Australia) to find the best quality alternatives on the market at the best price for you. We also test and use the products we sell.
All the inks used are formulated to meet and typically exceed the original manufacturers specifications and are fully guaranteed.

6. Does Inktec Guarantee its products
A. Not only do InkTec guarantee their inks are 100% compatible, they guarantee and underwrite all their products against any damage to printers claimed to be caused by their ink under normal usage conditions and according to InkTec and printer manufacturer's instructions. If any InkTec product is found to be faulty it will be replaced free of charge.
